At Shady Grove Orthopaedics, your needs are our highest concern. We understand how important it is for you to be seen in a timely manner. For this reason, we make every effort to accommodate appointments immediately upon request.
If you have a serious medical problem and are seen in the emergency room, the hospital emergency room physicians are well trained and able to perform appropriate initial care. They will make a referral to Shady Grove Orthopaedics for follow-up care if you choose a specialist in our practice. If the orthopaedic injury is complicated or severe, we are available and will respond to the emergency room physician’s request.

At Shady Grove Orthopaedics, our doctors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you need to reach one of the Shady Grove Orthopaedics doctors on the weekend or after regular office hours, please feel free to call our main number at (301) 340-9200.
Our automated answering service will contact the on-call doctor, and he or she will return your call. In the event of technical difficulties, we can be reached through Shady Grove Orthopaedics at (301) 340-9200.
Please note, calls after office hours and on weekends should be reserved only for emergencies and not for routine questions or medication prescription refills.
New prescriptions and refills are only issued during our normal business hours, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You can request a prescription by calling (301) 340-9200. Shady Grove Orthopaedics will not refill or prescribe pain medication after business hours. (This policy is dictated by state government policies.)
